Strength with Expertise

Tien Nguyen and Hari Dharan, Ph.D., founded the Company in 2013 recognizing the limitations of batteries and legacy kinetic energy solutions. The founders envisioned a lower cost and more reliable solution to store energy with integrated software enabling rapid and reliable integration. QESC combines metallurgy and materials science, novel electromechanical design, and proprietary software with recently commercialized advances in power electronics. The company has an awarded patent and a deep patent pending portfolio with more than 200 inventions/claims. QESC’s architecture delivers both grid-connected and grid-independent storage. The result is superior economics and performance compared to existing and announced battery technologies. Its integrated and reliable software platform that QESC delivers is capable of delivering all the necessary protocols for microgrid and utility scale integration.
